Online therapy helping you reclaim your life

About Catherine

I began my counselling and psychotherapy training in 2011, inspired by my own experiences in therapy and a lifelong desire to support others. While I initially entered this work to help others, it was through my training and years of personal therapy that I discovered just how transformative it can be.

Having lived with anxiety and depression from a young age, later diagnosed as C-PTSD, I know what it’s like to feel stuck in emotional overwhelm and unsure how to move forward. Therapy helped me reclaim my life, and it’s this lived experience that forms the heart of my practice.

I’ve walked through trauma, narcissistic abuse, relationship and health challenges, major life transitions, and spiritual awakening. I’ve learned to turn struggle into growth and pain into purpose.

I offer a safe, compassionate space where nothing is too much or too messy. You won’t be judged here. Whether you’re navigating toxic relationships, family dynamics, spiritual shifts, or emotional overwhelm, I’ll meet you with empathy, understanding, and the steady belief that healing is possible.

For me, this work isn’t just a profession, it's a calling.

Training

I retrained as a counsellor in my mid-30s, after raising children and working in a variety of roles that taught me a great deal about people, resilience, and the complexity of real life. During my training, I spent three years working within a domestic abuse unit and with BAWSO, supporting women and communities escaping violence. Since then, I’ve worked in private practice on and off, taking time out once more to raise my children, alongside therapeutic and support roles in education. I have supported young people in a specialist college for additional needs—including autism, learning differences, developmental trauma, and emotional regulation—and later within a primary school, where I offered creative and play-based emotional support. After stepping back for two years to recover from cancer and anchor my own healing once again, I am now returning to therapeutic work with a renewed sense of purpose and an even deeper understanding of healing.
